Building a strategy for growth in the organic channel is often dependant on the site. However, almost all strategies require the same set of ground work put in place to give us a clear indication of where we are now, and where we can get to. That usually includes keyword research, keyword mapping and some level of auditing, whether that be content auditing or technical.
The technical audit is a bespoke piece of work that is entirely dependent on what is uncovered during analysis. I tend to focus on the problems that matter, to ensure time isn’t wasted looking at what will make the least impact.
The time taken for each project is dependent on a few factors. One of the major influencers for a project is the size of a site. For example, doing a technical audit for a site with 1000 pages versus a site with 100,000 pages will be very different and require a significant amount more time to review.
